I trained as a classical ballet dancer at the School of American Ballet (SAB) in NY and graduated with a Masters Degree from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA). I am a graduate of the 500 Hour Yogaworks Teacher Training Professional Program and am a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500-Hour). I am currently enrolled in my second year of three in the Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training Program at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Los Angeles under the mentorship of Marla Apt and Chris Stein.
My classes are focused, challenging and meditative and energetically seek healing and restoration to balance the body, mind and spirit.
WHY I PRACTICE
I practice yoga daily to bring my body, mind and spirit closer to their truthful place in the world.
Our bodies are meant to be healthy, strong and supple, our minds are meant to be clear, calm and focused and our spirits are meant to soar. This is what my yoga practice gives to me. I cannot imagine a day without yoga!
WHY I TEACH
I teach because I want to bring the incredible benefits of yoga to the body, mind and spirit to my students. By teaching what I have learned from my teachers, my own practice and my study of yoga I share the benefits of yoga with my students and they in turn teach me to be a better teacher and carry their experience of yoga out into the world to inspire others.
Music, dance, singing, plays, films, Iyengar, being a part of the study, teaching and dissemination of the 5,000 year old tradition of the art, science and philosophy of yoga passed down from teacher to teacher through the ages.
