Laura began yoga as an astute Ashtanga follower, practicing in a very physical strong way for over 13 years.
She met her teacher, Clarissa, in 2008 in Brighton. Clarissa teaches Chup Sadhana- the yoga of silence. After her first class with Clarissa, Laura came to realise she had never even touched on what yoga was until that day and spent the next three years learning and practicing directly with Clarissa. When Clarissa was asked to teach the higher aspects of yoga on a teacher training she recommended Laura to the school.
Laura finished her teacher training at the Unity school in 2010, having studied under experienced teachers of Sivananda, Donna Farhi, Restorative, Integral, Yin, Yoga Nidra and Scaravelli.
Laura graduated and has taught predominantly Yin yoga incorporating chup sadhana within her practice. Having taught for two years in the UK, Laura returned to Brisbane in 2013 and has been teaching at Urban Yogi in Kenmore, Bo Tree in Salisbury, and originally at Ten Toes.
A seasoned vipassana meditator, silence, awareness and meditation are the guiding principles in all of her teaching.
