Lauren Maher, MA, C-IATY, is a yoga therapist who has been teaching since 2001. Lauren focuses on gentle yoga, therapeutic yoga, and Kundalini Yoga. Lauren’s classes are inclusive and open to all levels -- she has taught everyone from seniors to seasoned yoga practitioners to cancer patients. She draws from her knowledge of various yoga styles to create a practice that is appropriate for the shifting, daily needs of her students.
Lauren’s classes focus on stress relief, breath awareness, proper and safe alignment in asanas, meditation and visualization. Lauren takes a non-dogmatic approach to yoga and infuses her classes with a sense of humor and lightness. Lauren views the real benefits of yoga as what you take with you outside of the class and into the world.
Additionally, Lauren earned her master's degree in clinical psychology in 2016. She now counsels individuals, families, and couples as a marriage and family therapist intern.
