Lauren is a certified yoga instructor with a passion for self-care, physical health and contemplative practices and philosophies. She approaches teaching with a desire to thread body-appropriate classes with various aspects of yogic tradition, including history, philosophy, breath work and meditation.
She believes in the transformative capacity yoga practice has for reinvigorating physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. With regular practice, yoga can lead every student to hone her body and mind as instruments for leading a positive and meaningful life.
Lauren completed her 200-hour vinyasa certification in Chicago in 2011, and completed training to teach prenatal yoga at Yo Mama Yoga in Boulder in 2014. She holds a Master of Arts in Humanities from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from UCLA.
Lauren is also a freelance art critic and writer with articles published on and in THE Magazine. She also writes informational content for art galleries, including essays, press releases and artist biographies and statements. In addition to her yoga practice, she has maintained lifelong interests in art, history, philosophy and experimenting in the kitchen.
