Laurence has been practicing yoga for over ten years and teaching since her RYT200 in 2009. She trained in the Iyengar tradition, with an emphasis on anatomy and alignment, and has also studied Sivananda yoga in India. She studied history and philosophy in college, but after completing her graduate studies, she realized that her greatest fulfillment and satisfaction lay in sharing yoga and health. Her approach to yoga is simultaneously spiritual and light-hearted. She believes yoga is, essentially, the art of balance: balance between still and active, tight and loose, mind and body, yoga helps us find greater balance in all areas. She will soon be certified as an Ayurvedic Counselor and is eager to share this ancient health and healing practice as well.
