Laurent is qualified as a Hatha Yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance UK (RYT 200hrs) and as a Yoga Nidra teacher certified by Satyananda center in London. Laurent has been teaching for 5 years. His own Yoga practice has spanned over 15 years. He is attentive to his students, a careful listener and watches over his classes to ensure students get the most from his teaching style.
His personal practice and his teaching are based on grounding with whatever touches the floor. Using the breath to ease and free the spine. During his classes inner focus, body meditation and fluidility are the key elements. Releasing, freeing, opening the spine, the joints and muscles with awareness and mindfulness is essential for creating a safe and true personal practice.
Laurent is strongly influenced by his own teachers, Su Sareen and John Stirk, who themselves were trained with Vanda Scaravelli and Sandra Sabatini.
Laurent also teaches more dynamic styles of Hatha Yoga in a non-forceful and non-straining way using the connection between a calm breath, the relaxed mind and a quiet body.
He adapts his classes to each group and individual, making them creative, fun, and encouraging a practice that is both mentally and physically rewarding.
