My first Bikram yoga class was back when I was 16 years old. I was doing a lot of musical theatre, cross-country running and squash tournaments and thought a change of pace would be good. Little did I know it would eventually change the direction of the life. The first class was overwhelming, as everyone’s is, but I instantly fell in love with the energy during class and the euphoric feeling afterwards.
My goal is to bring as much positivity into my classes and my own practice as I possibly can. Positivity is key; what you think about, you bring about. Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional. My desire as a teacher is to inspire, because I am constantly inspired by others, life experiences and perspectives. Enjoy the journey. Bikram Yoga will break you down, challenge you, expose you and force you to work through the problem rather than around it. But it also reveals your strengths, energizes you, heals you and in turn you end up inspiring yourself. Influencing people to work towards where they want to be is the most rewarding job in the world.
