Leah creates an environment where people can direct their energy and attention within, to connect with their bodies’ innate intelligence. Tapping into meditation and music, students are encouraged to find connection to their inner wisdom, healing, creativity and joy. Leah's belief is that every choice, every day, in every way, can add restored vitality and mind-body balance into our lives. Her varied lifestyle experiences have helped her to infuse a holistic wellness perspective into all of her classes. Offering classes in which she engages elements and asanas that do everything from reinvigorating energy and creativity to yin yoga postures that work to create health within the fascia, ligaments, joints and bones.
Leah has taken some 1000 cumulative hours of various yoga and ayurveda training courses with Master Teachers including Yin Yoga teacher trainings with Bernie Clark and 180 hours of in residence Yin/Insight Yoga training with Sarah Powers. Leah is fascinated by anatomy, currently pursuing studies in anatomy and the nervous system. Leah is also a passionate student of Ayurveda and is a professional member of NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association) she incorporates this as well as Meditation, Chinese Medicine Meridian Theory, Western Science, and Nature into her teaching, bringing her love of yoga and her ever-growing knowledge of it to share with others.
Leah, who is First Nations, Metis and French, has had a dedicated yoga practice since 2010 and has been a registered teacher since 2013. She also concurrently continues to work as a branding and lifestyle consultant and buyer for yoga retail brands, educating and building awareness with consumers and the larger industry about ethical manufacturing. With each piece she considers she asks the question: Was it made with Ahimsa? ( in a non harming manner?)
