I have studied various styles mostly from the Krishnamacharya and Satyananda traditions; I lived and studied at the ashram of Swami Janakananda in Sweden in 2011. The focus of the practice and training here is steadiness of breath, mind and body in asana and other practices. Flexibility, strength, alignment and balance are developed for on-the-mat and off-the-mat. In the asana practice the goal is a a balance of Vinyasa, sequenced movement through poses, and learning single poses with longer hold times. Pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation are also taught according to the student's interest.
