I've been practicing for 23 years and teaching for 18 years.
Originally I received my certifications at the Integral Yoga Institute which firmly grounded my meditation and pranayama( breathing) practices.
Having a ballet teacher for a mother, including years of her training influenced my need for a more strenuous asana practice. I studied Iyengar yoga for many years before graduating from their Teacher Training Program in 2006. In this method the focus is on correct alignment using props to help the body move into positions, which develop flexibility and strength.
The practices’ purpose is also to help you be clear about what you are physically doing, as well as to help you learn how to be disciplined and pay attention! Which in this day and age is a lot!
Holding postures for longer periods and practicing different sequences every week, stimulates the immune system while creating powerful regeneration for the body and mind.
ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME.
One hour classes equipped with props on bamboo floors.
4 -5 people per class- (semi private)
