Lindsey had an on-again, off-again flirtation with yoga since the age of 15. In her mid-twenties, she dusted off her yoga mat and headed to the nearest studio in search of pain relief from the multitude of overuse injuries caused by her many years as a classical violinist and a waitress. On that day, the instructor, Sandy Byrne, intuitively knew exactly how to help her. It was then that Lindsey's relationship with yoga got "serious". Since that day, Lindsey has continued to study under the compassionate guidance of Sandy Byrne and recently completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at RRYoga. Lindsey graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2007, where she majored in both international business and philosophy. Much like her educational background, her classes take into consideration her students' everyday, physical needs as well as their more subtle spiritual needs. Lindsey teaches now in hopes of paying it forward, helping guide others to find ease in their bodies and in their hearts, just like it happened for her.
"Yoga is the calamine lotion for the itch in my soul."
