Lisa M. Otero is a registered yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance RYT-200) with over 1000 hours of yoga teaching experience. She trained with Maribeth Hammond at the Yoga Channel Yoga Studio in Oxnard, CA. Lisa is influenced by the teachings of BKS Iyengar and continues to study yoga with Jeneth Rundle at Ventura Yoga Studio.
Lisa teaches Hatha, Yin, and Slow-flow yoga classes and workshops at various locations in Oxnard and Ventura, CA, including the Yoga Channel Yoga Studio, Yoga by the Sea (outdoor practices sessions in the park), the Edge Fitness Center, InnerSoulstice Wellness Studio, and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ventura.
Also an accredited instructor of T'ai Chi Chih®, with over 5000 hours of teaching experience, Lisa has been practicing TCC, yoga, & seated meditation consistently for 22 years.
Lisa is also a retired attorney who practiced legal aid and civil rights law for many years. The demands of a fast-paced law practice taught Lisa the value of consistent yoga, T’ai Chi Chih, and meditation practice. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and Harvard Law School.
