MY IDEAS ABOUT MOVEMENT ARE SIMPLE: MOVE, AND MOVE IN IN A WAY THAT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD. MOBILITY, FLOW. STRENGTH OF MIND, AND FUN, ARE MY MAIN GOALS.

IN MY YOGA STUDIES, I WORK IN HATHA, VINYASA FLOW, YIN, AND RESTORATIVE. I STUDIED ASHTANGA IN MYSORE, AND ENJOY BRINGING IT'S ELEMENTS INTO MY PRACTICE. I GENERALLY TEACH A FUSION OF THESE ELEMENTS.

I HAVE EXPERIENCE IN PRANAYAMA, AND USE AN OPEN METHOD OF MEDITATION. IN THIS, THERE ARE NO EXPECTATIONS. THINGS ARE AS THEY ARE AND WE ACCEPT THEM AS THEY COME.

OUTSIDE OF YOGA, I HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH FUNCTIONAL RANGE CONDITIONING AND KINSTRETCH. THESE ARE MOBILITY TECHNIQUES THAT HELP THE PRACTITIONER INTELLIGENTLY MAKE 'GAINS' IN THEIR FLEXIBILITY, STRENGTH, AND BALANCE. YOU DO LESS AND PROGRESS MORE. SIMPLE AS THAT. I HAVE MOVED MY TORSO FROM AN UPRIGHT 90 DEGREE ANGLE, TO VERY LOW TO THE GROUND IN MY 'UPAVISTHA KONASANA' (OR PANCAKE) IN A FEW SESSIONS.

IN MY FELDENKRAIS EDUCATION, WE LEARN HOW TO BREAK OUR PATTERNS THAT WE HAVE BEEN STUCK WITH OVER TIME. IN A SMALL SESSION YOU CAN OBSERVE THE WAYS IN WHICH YOUR BODY TENDS TO MOVE - AND CHANGE IT! YOU HAVE A CHOICE IN HOW YOU MOVE - USE IT! WE FIND THE NEUROMUSCULAR PATHWAYS AND 'LEARN TO LEARN' HOW TO USE THEM!

FLOOR FLOW, CONTEMPORARY DANCE TECHNIQUES, ANIMAL FLOW, AND NATUAL MOVEMENT ARE ALL WAYS THAT ALSO LOOK AT THE BODY AS ITS OWN BEING IN SPACE. MY VIEW IS TO PLAY AND FLOW AND ENJOY MOVING!

I ALSO TEACH AERIAL YOGA (I OWN FABRICS). ALTHOUGH I PERSONALLY ENJOY CIRCUS STYLE AERIALS, I TEACH A SOFTER, LESS ACROBATIC, MORE YOGA BASED APPROACH.
