Lisa, aka The Fat Yogini is the founder and owner of Body Positivity Yoga.
Lisa began practicing Yoga in 2001. Fairly early on in her practice, Lisa was delighted to discover that Yoga not only made her feel great physically and emotionally, but had also begun to completely transform the way she felt about herself and her body. Having discovered the transformative power of Yoga as a form of self-love and self-care, Lisa developed the Body Positivity Yoga method and began the next phase of her journey. Now, as a certified Yoga teacher, Lisa shares her passion for Yoga as a path to self-acceptance, self-care, and self-love with all of her students.
Lisa is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 hour level (RYT-500) certified in Hatha Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Chair Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Restorative Therapeutics, Yoga for Round Bodies, and Yoga Nidra. Lisa offers workshops and trainings for other Yoga teachers on making the practice of Yoga more accessible and approachable to larger bodied people, the absolute beginner, and all others who have ever felt they "didn't belong" in a stereotypical Yoga class.
Lisa teaches Gentle Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Go With The Flow Yoga, and leads our unique Open Yoga sessions at Body Positivity Yoga
