Therapeutic Yoga is not to be confused with gentle yoga. The practice is focused on meeting students where they are and helping them learn to gauge and then nudge their own edges safely. This style works to develop one's own self-care practice and assists students in becoming their own teacher. Key factors are alignment, working with breath, core development, props to deepen or soften the work, and slow and deep practice where we converse with the nervous system in order to make lasting healthy changes.
