Lisa is a Denver native who did everything from figure skating, running, volleyball, basketball to varsity crew all through her school years but never considered herself to be “tough" until starting her yoga practice.
She took a yoga class with her mother in an effort to get in shape for her 2006 wedding. Luckily her mom liked it because Lisa reluctantly followed her back for a second, third and fourth class until yoga stuck for good. In 2011 she completed her 200 hour certification in hatha yoga and began teaching full time. Lisa continued her education in 2013 by completing Level One with Baron Baptiste and again with Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in 2014.
She loves the playfulness and arm balances in Vinyasa and the attention to detail and healing therapy of Bikram. She leads a slow-paced but demanding class with lots of alignment and an urging to “find your edge” in every posture.
When she isn’t teaching or taking class, Lisa enjoys having adventures (anything from date night to traveling abroad counts) with her husband, Michael, and taking long naps with her soul-cat, Frank.
