Since a young age Liz has had a passion for helping others and healthy living. She discovered yoga in her late teens as part of an exercise regimen. Through personal growth, Liz discovered yoga offered healing for not only the body but for the mind and soul as well.
Liz continued to practice yoga while pursuing her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and credits yoga for helping her cope with the stresses of being a pediatric/NICU nurse for seven years. After hanging up the scrubs to focus on raising two beautiful daughters with her husband, Liz began a journey to improve her spiritual health. It was then that Liz learned Transcendental Meditation (TM) from Prudence Farrow Bruns. TM was a life changing practice that is now an essential part of Liz’s day. It was also during this journey that Liz pursued her dream to become a yoga teacher. Through her studies, Liz gained an immense passion for yoga that had not been tapped into previously. She acquired a new respect and deep admiration for the history of yoga and Sanskrit. After studying all types of yoga, Liz most enjoys teaching and practicing Vinyasa yoga.
As a yoga teacher at Sunshine Yoga since April 2015, Liz shares her love of yoga by offering invigorating classes that focus on enriching her students' well-being physically, mentally and spiritually.
