Loretta is the principal teacher at Unfold. She has been teaching yoga on a full time basis for 10 years. Her practice and study commenced 23 years ago and she has experienced profound results, most notably in assisting with her own back conditions, arising in her early 20's, and in preparation for the births of her two children. Loretta's approach is based on her consistent personal practice and the inspiration from her teachers and students, as well as her long time interest in the study of Hatha yoga and Buddhist and Western philosophies. Loretta is certified with the International Yoga Teachers Association (IYTA) 2003, and a full member. Loretta has participated at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India, February 2011, also attending the International Conference on "Ayurveda & Yoga - where science meets consciousness" held in Rishikesh, 2011.
Loretta encourages everyone to enjoy the benefits of yoga; to generate physical and mental health. She has seen her business grow from teaching in halls and schools, to the recent opening of this purpose-designed centre at 26 Hack Street, Mt. Barker. She is excited to have created a centre for healing by sharing this space, and working with other professionals in a range of therapeutic modalities.
"My teachers have inspired me to approach yoga lovingly, but seriously. Life unfolds from its core. Each day is a new beginning. In order to free ourselves from restrictions and tensions, both mentally and physically, we need compassion, encouragement and courage. We find the essence for this deep inside ourselves. Yoga helps us to reach this place."
