Lori McAlister (E-RYT 500) creates deep investigative vinyasa practices with intelligent, alignment-based sequencing. Her approach is to guide practitioners toward freedom in their bodies, hearts, and spirits. Also known for her juicy and intuitive hands-on assists, Lori takes delight in sharing her approach with others. Lori created Sequencology, a teacher training module about her intelligent sequencing methodology. Lori leads workshops, retreats, and trainings around the globe. She currently teaches weekly classes in New York City at Pure Yoga, Kula Yoga Project, and Sonic Yoga.
Originally from Maine, Lori earned her BFA in Dance from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. She received her 200 hour yoga certification from New York Yoga under the direction of David Hollander, Michael Gilbert, and Govinda Kai. She has also received her 500 hour certification in Shiva Rea’s Prana Flow from Sonic Yoga and a 75 hour advanced kula flow teacher training with Schuyler Grant.
Lori currently lives in New York City with her partner, Raimon, and their son Bodhi.
