Yoga practitioner for over 12 years, I attended the Yoga Training Course - Alliance UK and BmQ 2017, in Portugal, guided by Prof. Marco Peralta and certified by the Yoga Alliance Professionals.
The search for qualified training came from the gradual need to deepen my personal practice. Assuming that Yoga is becoming aware, it is learning to know oneself, that each personal practice is unique and perfect, just as it is at every moment that the decision to become a yoga teacher stems from the desire to help discover the potential there is. in each person, guiding the construction of their own personal practice.
The balance, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being that yoga helps build is a personal process that is always worth starting at any age at any time in life. Starting and deepening this path is my invitation in Hatha Yoga classes and in life.
I have also been teaching Aero Yoga classes since 2018, which is a fantastic discovery and a permanent challenge, making it possible to explore knots consciousness in a different context than usual, using the cloth support in asana, pranayama and meditation practice, but also overcoming the constant challenge of suspended balance, allowing for enhanced stretching and exploration of inverted asanas, even by practitioners with some limitations.
The taste for the aquatic environment and the proximity of the sea and the river also motivated me to attend the SUP Yoga Course, with Marco Peralta, certified by the Yoga Alliance Professionals. In this type of class the base of the exercises is the SUP (Stand Up Paddle) board allowing you to work balance, concentration, strength and mind. The invitation is to connect with ourselves and nature, practicing pranayama, feeling and accepting the fun challenges that each asana places us on a slightly unstable surface, also giving us a deep relaxation with special focus and awareness of our own. body and our mind, through a little practice of yoganidra in the taste of the small stream and ripple of the river or the sea. I teach SUP Yoga classes (Stand Up Paddle Yoga), in Coimbra, since July 2019 as an activity of Tao - Yoga and Wellness Center and since June 2020 at Coimbra Stand Up Paddle.
Complementing and improving the activity as a yoga practitioner and teacher, in 2017, I attended a Thai Massage Course, guided by Anatoly Kovalchuk, certified by the International Training Massage (ITM).
Thai Yoga Massage is a body and mind therapy that incorporates yoga and acupuncture in an interactive body massage using passive stretching, joint movement and gentle pressure on the points along the power lines, changes in the flexibility of muscles and joints. The therapist uses as hands, thumbs, palms, elbows, forearms, knees and feet to press and perform desired movements, using the body as a lever.
The continuity of personal practice motivated the attendance of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Teacher Training Intensive Course, with Beth Mulligan and Anne Twohig and Vitor Bertocchini, UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness - UC San Diego School of Medicine, in 2020.
In January 2021, I started promoting Mindfulness & Meditation sessions at Tao - Yoga and Wellness Center, Figueira da Foz.
