I have an extensive background in yoga and martial arts. At the age of 6, I began learning and competing in martial arts. In my teens, I started training other competitors, which began my interest and understanding of working with people with injuries.
As an adult, I tried other interests, and ended up enrolling into the mortuary science school, where I was introduced to a deeper understanding of anatomy. I soon realized my true passion, and went back to pursuing my study of yoga and martial arts. However, I took my extensive knowledge of anatomy of the body to yoga, which has helped to shape my classes and teachings.
I infuse my classes with multiple disciplines. My classes are based in Hatha and infused with Vinyasa, Iyengar, Anusara and Kundalini. After years of studying martial arts and different styles of yoga in Miami, New York City, LA, and various other places in the country, I have taken what I have learned and developed a way to safely access the muscular and neuromuscular systems of the body to help clients achieve their goals. My diverse classes combine Yoga, Ballet, Pilates and Martial Arts to increase neuromuscular efficiency, body posture, balance, strength and power. I am registered with Yoga Alliance as a E-RYT 200 yoga teacher.
