Malinda Romine is a devoted yoga teacher and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist. Her relationship with yoga began as a way to deepen her relationship to self and naturally grew into a desire to serve others on their path to wellness.
She has studied with world renowned yoga teacher, Saul David Raye, and serves the yoga community as an assistant to Saul's yoga teacher training, Thai Yoga Therapy and public yoga classes. She has been a yoga practitioner since 2000, and teaching Yoga since 2013. She teaches gentle Hatha yoga classes rooted in mindful body based experiences. Her practice and teaching style combines yoga with facilitated awareness, guided meditation and self-inquiry. Her therapeutic yoga classes create a space that encourage self-support, permission, and non-judgment. She believes the body is the teacher, and each person has everything they need within themselves to live a fulfilling and happy life. Yoga for her isn't about exercise or achieving the perfect pose. She teaches and practices yoga as a way to be in union with self, and to stay flexible, physically and mentally.
Malinda is an advanced Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Practitioner. She offers private sessions, mind/body based movement classes, and facilitates group workshops and eight-week courses. In all areas her work is client-centered, based on the work of Carl Rogers and his fundamental belief that inside each person lies the wellspring of health and well being, and that the role of the practitioner is to provide unconditional positive regard, creating a space in which the client can access their own information and ideas. She also offers Thai Yoga Therapy, a deeply healing type of body work, incorporating touch, presences, and the movement of the energy body.
She is a registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, and a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists
