Manja teaches Yoga in the Sivananda tradition with a combination of strength building, balance promoting, and flexibility increasing poses in sync with the breath. In rotation she offers classes focussing on detox, the art of being present, and chakra balancing. She incorporates pranayama techniques into her practice, for beginners and advanced students. Her special interests are Tibetan meditation and Yoga Therapy. Manja teaches trauma patients how to overcome PTSD, depression, and anxiety, and she also works with people with eating and sleeping disorders.
As a six year old girl she started receiving first instructions in Hatha yoga from her father, who also introduced her to relaxation techniques such as autogenic training. From 1998 to 2006 she practiced Kundalini and Prenatal yoga in Berlin with different teachers, and Hatha and Kundalini Yoga in the tradition of Swami Sivananda with Yoga Vidya in Germany. In 2001 she fractured three vertebrae during acrobatics training, and used meditation, diet, and asana to heal her spine.
Manja came to the United States in 2008, and received her 200-hour teacher training in 2014/15 from Shanti Warrior Living Yoga School in Mobile, AL under guidance of Tracey Narayani Glover. Since then she has studied the chakra and energy system of the body, and continues to study with Yoga Vidya.
Manja is a Master Reiki Practitioner/Teacher, and offers combined Reiki-Yoga and Reiki-Meditation and Health Coaching Sessions for private students. Manja is bilingual and teaches in English and German
