My approach to yoga is a heart centered, gentle Way. Certified in 2005 (Divine Yoga, Everett Newell & Tracee Stanley) in the Tantra Tradition, my teaching also includes Hatha & Iyengar approaches influenced by my studies with Lauren Barnert-Hosie (1990/SF, CA) and Nancy Sutton-Pierce (2001, House of Yoga, Redding, CA). As a longtime meditator (1986, Bay Zen Center, Oakland, CA),
I offer a weekly, ongoing Mindfulness Meditation group sitting opportunity (in the Zen tradition) for those seeking to continue deepening their practice. In 2009, I received the Level 1-Advanced training in iRest®Integrative Restoration Yoga Nidra with Dr. Richard Miller. This powerful form of Yoga Nidra a "profound relaxation" blended into my teaching of yoga and meditation.
My classes are a blend of yoga asana, therapeutic yoga, meditation & Yamuna® Body Rolling. Within these approaches, you will develop body awareness, deepen self inquiry and strengthen your body, mind and heart!
