Marianne Mohr E-RYT200, Director
Yoga Alliance Registered Instructor #72817
As Founder and Director of the Buddha Yoga School of Yogic Arts, I have dedicated our school and studio exclusively to yoga instruction and education with 15 open classes a week. Therapeutic fascial release is emphasized in all classes: Gentle/Yin, Senior/Chair, Deep Stretch, Flow, Core/Balance and beginning Ashtanga.
I have over 40 years experience in yogic study, practice and teaching beginning in Encinitas, California in 1975 with Ashtanga teacher David Williams.
Our teaching philosophy is influenced by Bodhisattva Vows conferred upon me by His Holiness The Dalai Lama - to provide caring harmonious guidance, gentle instruction and challenging practice in a sacred Zen setting.
Our classroom instruction provides a consistent approach to safety and cultivation of mindfulness, flexibility, balance, strength and endurance through traditional yogic poses combined with fascia release and biomechanical re-patterning techniques.
The staff and curriculum serves our students to focus on their yoga practice and meditation to cultivate physical, mental and spiritual harmony and well-being.
Buddha Yoga is a registered Yoga Alliance (YA) facility with E-RYT and RYT faculty and class instructors. We are also a YA continuing education provider and offer RYT200 Yoga Teacher Training and Certification in 9 weekend sessions.
