I came to yoga 20 years ago through spiritual seeking and as a support for my meditation practice. I began with Vinyasa yoga and from my very first class felt a profound sense of stillness and a relaxed vitality that I had never experienced before. I couldn't wait to go to another class. A year later I discovered Kripalu yoga and felt a real sense of homecoming in this meditative practice that was so welcoming and a philosophy that was steeped in love, as well as with the authenticity of the teachers and the lineage of Swami Kripalu - I had found my path.
I am a certified professional level Kripalu yoga teacher. I have been teaching in the Lowell area for nearly 15 years and have offered yoga retreats around New England, Italy and next year New Mexico! I am deeply inspired by the rhythms and wisdom of the natural world, music, poetry and Tibetan Buddhism. And I weave all of these into my teaching.
It is my intention as a teacher to create a welcoming environment for students and to guide them inward to connect with their own deep inner experience ~ to help each student find their own authentic path to well-being and vitality through the philosophies and practices of yoga and meditation. I believe yoga has something to offer everyone and I strive to make these practices and philosophies accessible to all.
In 2012 I opened Sangha Yoga Collective in Downtown Lowell, MA, with the intention of creating community and a peaceful & welcoming space for teachers to offer classes. In 2016 we have transitioned to a collective without walls ~ offering classes in various indoor and outdoor spaces around the Lowell area.
