Marietta has always enjoyed yoga, but it was not until after her brother
passed away in 2005 that she began to practice daily. Yoga became her
escape, her therapy, and her rescue.
In 2010, Marietta wanted to deepen her practice and went through teacher training in San Diego. She was surprised to find how much she enjoyed guiding classes and spreading the yoga love.
She is especially grateful for yoga because it has lended a new expansive perspective on the mind and body. Additionally, she found an elevated appreciation for health and nutrition through her Ayurveda studies.
Marietta hopes to share her passion with her students, by encouraging them to breathe and find the true strength and beauty that they hold within themselves, awakening a sense of peace.
Marietta’s classes are typically structured for all levels. She hopes to incorporate an invigorating flow to get the core and muscles heated and then takes her students through detoxifying postures that emphasize alignment and breath. Oftentimes, she uses music in her classes, to infuse each practice with new energy and rhythm.
