Marion began her yoga practice in 1998 while working as a professional actress/singer/dancer in musical theatre. She became addicted immediately to the power and serenity of regular yoga practice After exploring Bikram, Anusara, Jivamukti, and Ashtunga styles of yoga, she acquired her 200 hour training certificate in Vinyasa at New York Yoga and her 500 Hour with Sri Dharma Mittra. Additionally, she has formally trained with Baron Baptiste, Michael Gilbert’s Language of Opposites and the Art of Living. Marion recognizes the amazing potential that the human body possesses for movement and expression. Yoga has provided her with balance and stability, strength and endurance, energy and flexibility in both body and mind. Marion’s teaching style plays with the freedom that can be found through breath, flow and motion.
Marion’s sequences focus on safe and proper alignment, demystification of balancing, and the use of breath to initiate the flow of movement through space. Ultimately, Marion’s intent is to transition yoga practitioners to the physical, mental and spiritual peace that asana practice so generously provides. She is grateful for the knowledge and inspiration imparted by her teachers, particularly Shri Dharma Mittra. Om Shanti!
