Marissa's yoga journey began as an adolescent experimenting with many different styles of yoga, later developing a passion for Ashtanga yoga. She has studied along side Ricky Tran developing and strengthening her skills as a practitioner and teacher.
With a background working alongside sports physiotherapy and chiropractic care, Marissa's approach to yoga is to promote mobility, function, alignment and quality of life through individual self study on and off the mat. Her classes are challenging, uplifting, and approachable, as she takes you beyond the physical aspects of yoga and brings you into your own sacred space encouraging students to connect deeply into their bodies and breath.
Through a variety of poses and conscious sequencing Marissa's classes will build strength, flexibility and balance in a safe and playful environment.
