"I started yoga when I had just turned 20. I remember finding everything so challenging, especially all the hip openers. I fell in love with the practice quickly and before I knew it, people at work were asking me to teach them. It was at that point I started my teacher training with Anna Prior. I spent five years there, doing my Iyengar training and I gradually started teaching. After exploring other styles of yoga, I decided to complete my Hatha training with Amanda Fuzes at Prana Space. I'm currently working towards being authorised Ashtanga teacher, this could take a long while to happen. In the meantime, I continue to practice, study and teach. I will always be a student first, because there is more in the world to learn than I could absorb, even if I was given a thousand lifetimes to study. I hope if we meet on the mat, I can offer you a start on your own yoga journey," Martine Allars.
