Why I teach yoga
As a runner, I was pretty skeptical of yoga. But what I discovered was that yoga can center, balance, focus and strengthen you. Many of us have become disconnected with our bodies, and yoga helps re-establish that dialogue and connection between body and mind. It is work-out but also a work-in. External strength simultaneously creates internal strength, and a serene and peaceful core. Yoga helps develop a sort of “body intuition”.
Your body has an inherent intelligence to bring about a perfect state of equilibrium. This awareness translates both on and off the mat. It can be carried into your day to day living. My job is to help facilitate this 5000 year old practice, and it truly is an honor to participate in this exciting process!
