Mary is an E-RYT 500 and has been practicing and teaching Yoga for over 30 years. She has completed three 200-hour training programs in the US and finished her 500-hour yoga therapy training through the International Yoga Academy in India, where she studied Thiramoolar’s Therapeutic Ashtanga Yoga. One of her 200-hour training programs earned her a designation of a Certified Thai Practitioner (CTP), as well as holding an advanced certificate in Thai Yoga from a White Lotus Foundation instructor. She is also certified by ACE and AEA. Mary’s teaching style is a blend of many styles she has experienced, creating a class that incorporates all eight limbs of yoga.
In addition to teaching, Mary has experience training candidates to teach group fitness and preparing them to sit for the ACE exam, as well as experience teaching in the 200 hour program for an international Yoga Alliance Approved School. Mary holds a Masters degree from Colorado State University in Education, and a bachelor’s degree from MTSU with a double emphasis, one of which is in Health, Physical Education and Recreation
