I began doing yoga in 1990 to support my body through the birth of our third child. I immediately fell in love with the practice (and our new son who is now 26!) and continued to practice regularly. I began my formal training with Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy in 1995. After receiving certification with PRYT in 1996, I began offering private therapeutic yoga and teaching adult drop-in classes at the Silverthorne Recreation Center. In 1999 I was introduced to Anusara yoga I was amazed at the efficacy of the alignment principles and the clarity of how they were presented. I wanted to be able to share this amazing practice with my students and began to study Anusara yoga by attending workshops, trainings and classes several times a year; I was licensed as an Anusara-inspired teacher for over 10 years. In addition to Anusara and Kripalu Yoga my teaching is influenced by many wonderful yoga instructors from a variety of yoga schools and backgrounds. I currently study Para Yoga with Rod Stryker as time and life allow. I love teaching and sharing yoga with others!
