Mary Smith has been practicing and loving yoga since 2004. After realizing that traditional cardiovascular exercise was not the best for her, she turned to yoga as a way to move her body in a more spiritual and holistic manner. In 2008, she began teaching yoga and sharing her knowledge of energy and the body.
In her search for the best form of yoga for her, Mary found Devidas Karina Mirsky of Sangha Yoga in Kalamazoo where she completed her 200hr and 500 hr Yoga Certification in Tantric Hatha Yoga with an emphasis in Meditation and in the style of ParaYoga. She is registered with the National Yoga Alliance.
“ParaYoga is rooted in the ancient spiritual tradition of yogic science. It aims to support and positively impact every aspect of modern life. Classical Yoga, Ayurveda and Tantra all inform this holistic and personalized approach to yoga practice. The ParaYoga system is widely respected for intelligently sequencing yoga postures to yield desired physical and energetic effects. It is also honored as one of the few American styles of yoga emphasizing meditation.” ~Defined by Devidas Karina Mirsky
