My intention is to create a safe, loving space where students can listen to the wisdom of their bodies. A class includes warm ups, formal yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation and a deep relaxation.
Mary Lou Minard, RYT, is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour level. She has certifications from Kripalu Center for Yoga, Prana Yoga, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, and Restorative Yoga. She has been studying yoga since 1985 and teaching since 1989. She teaches public yoga classes on Long Island, and special classes for women recovering from breast cancer, and for people with multiple sclerosis. She tells beginners that "If you can breathe, you can do yoga."
