I came to yoga after beginning the practice of meditation. I wanted a physical component to add to the mental/spiritual exploration I was doing through meditation. I came to find that, for myself, yoga and meditation were one in the same. I have since deepened my knowledge of yoga and meditation through a 200-hr teacher training at the Kripalu Institute. I followed up my training by living at Kripalu for the next year as a volunteer in what was essentially a living yoga program. I have come to integrate the principles of yoga into my daily life and strive to "live yoga" in each moment. I strive to bring all that I have learned about yoga into my classes so that my students may have the same opportunities I've had to experience yoga. My aim for each of my classes is to have my students leave class with a new perspective of how they approach themselves, their relationship with mind and body, and the world around.
