As a devoted athlete, she grew up competing in volleyball and TaeKwonDo. After sustaining injuries she decided to be proactive in her recovery and took her first yoga class. She was hooked, and has since dedicated herself to her practice, whether working in Africa, traveling through Latin America or enjoying sunny southern California.
Maya has immersed herself in learning and coaching yoga, developing a style that makes it authentic and accessible. Her focused approach is designed for everyone from athletes to students of any fitness ability or age.
The big boss behind Dare2Yoga, yoga coach Maya Talisa, has a background in competitive and recreational sports that has developed into a passion for inspiring the best in everyone. She offers a truly unique yoga experience; It’s about daring people, groups and teams to connect with movement that balances their lives and replenishes their spirit.
Her specialty in athletics has resulted in collaboration with individual athletes, teams, and coaches. Maya focuses on maximizing competitive performance while reducing the risk of injury through a hybrid system of integrated yoga therapy and cutting edge mobility exercises. She incorporates myofascial release, traditional yoga poses, and sports psychology customized for each player, position, and sport.

Maya is dedicated to preparing athletes to compete at the peak of their sport and realize their ultimate potential.
