I've been playing with yoga ever since I was little and found a book of Hatha yoga poses on my mom's bookshelf. I started taking yoga classes in college, and was drawn to yoga as a way to strengthen my body while having fun!
I started a dedicated, regular practice in 2012 as a way to cope with the stresses of graduate school, and the habits I formed on the mat have truly changed my life for the better. I recently became certified through the Many Rivers Yoga teacher training program here in Tallahassee, where I explored several different styles of yoga including Hot, Yin, Ashtanga and Vinyasa. I like to incorporate elements of many different styles into my own practice and into my classes.
For me yoga is a way to help myself and my students start to tune out the outside pressures of the world, and learn to listen to and trust our inner voices to find our confidence, strength, and balance!
