Megan began her yoga journey in summer of 2011 as a way to reconnect to herself post-baby. Instantly addicted she found that her new passion was sharing the message that yoga is for anyone of any age, size, or fitness level. She has been studying consistently and faithfully under Steffan de Graffenried, owner of Updog Yoga Centers, since May 2012. She also completed her 275 hour Vinyasa Teacher Training under Kerry Porter; who teaches Vinyasa Krama in the lineage of Krishnanacharya. In addition to studying Methodology, Anatomy, and Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Megan completed a 25 hour course in Anatomy Fundamentals with Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Matthews. She delights in introducing yoga to beginner students, as well as helping connect both new and regular practitioners with more breath awareness and movement mindfulness. She also enjoys teaching kids yoga.

My desire is to introduce yoga to as many as are willing - to show that yoga is for every BODY - to help others grow in their yoga journey - and to continue to learn how to share yoga most effectively, safely, and with uplifting inspiration! ॐ namaste ॐ Megan is available for private lessons, small group private series, or just for subbing locally around Huntsville, Madison area.

Phenomenal Instructor!

Megan’s passion for yoga shines through in her outstanding and encouraging teaching style. Her demeanor is so sweet and calming that no matter what was going on in your day prior to attending her class, you ALWAYS leave feeling happy and refreshed! Megan is incredibly knowledgeable, and always shows multiple options when going into a more challenging pose that target all skill levels. So very grateful to have her as my instructor!!

Mind, Body, and Soul

Megan has such a warm heart, a calming spirit, and a natural ability at instructing. I have been attending her classes for almost 6 months now, (at 42 I never imagined I would gain the strength and peace I've found with Megan's patient instruction) and each class is as inspired as the last. She really gets to know her students and works with each level student on our individual yoga journeys. Her friendly, outgoing nature and her knowledgeable instruction make for an awesome overall experience. I highly recommend checking out one of her classes.

Megan is YOUR yoga instructor because.......


She is there for YOU. She is mindful, patient, and respectful of each individuals needs. I am not a fan of attending classes with other participants because i am not comfortable with my "beginner-ness" , but I am a massage therapist and i am always telling my clients they need more stretching in their lives. How can I not tell them about yoga and how amazing it is for physical, emotional, and wellness reasons, and not attend classes myself. This is where Megan comes in, with her true gift and calling. She is amazing with beginners and guides each one in a way that is comfortable to them. Always friendly and never makes you feel uncomfortable of YOUR own skill levels. She is the one to help guide YOU through YOUR yoga journey to be comfortable enough to get to the level YOU want to acheive! She is awesome, period.. :)

Megan is amazing

After inviting Megan into my classroom so she could teach some gentle Yoga to my students, i was blown away. She is so attentive to everyone's uniqueness and capabilties. She takes plenty of time with explanations and gives praise when earned. My students would love it if she could come by everyday as they so enjoyed her insights, breathing techniques, and orientation to details. She helped one-on-one and offered adjustments in poses when needed. Come by anytime, Ms. Megan!!

Highly recommended!

Megan is Fabulous! She is very thorough in her instructions, capable of teaching multiple skill levels and focusing on individual students within her group. She gives clear directions while properly demonstrating each movement, and is always attuned to the safety of each student. She gives alternate positions and poses depending on the skill level and ability of each of her students. I highly recommend Megan as a yoga instructor for anyone who is considering this beneficial mode of fitness.
