My interest in yoga practice dates to my to be one of Lilias Folan's TV Kid Yogis. To me, Yoga as a body of philosophy and practice combines the wisdom of the ages with the potency of the present. A deeper love and joy for life, compassion for all, and ever dwelling in sublime happiness is the fruit of the work.
From early on, I wanted to share my experiences with others. My first teaching position was in 1980-1983 for Florida State University's Center for Participant Education. My passion for teaching outdoors and in service traces back to that time. I have taught regularly since completing a 200hr Kriya Yoga teacher training in 2007, and an additional 300hr training course in 2015, specializing in the therapeutic benefits of yoga. I am continuing studies (per IAYT standards) in a 150-200hr private mentorship/teaching practicum with Catherine Deans at Halfmoon Yoga. I am seeking private students as well as groups who feel they have needs that may preclude them from public yoga classes, or that they wish to address therapeutically in private session. Persons in transition, and those learning healthy weight management skills are of particular interest. I teach in the Tallahassee area, and am also often available many weekends in the North Pinellas/Hillsborough County area for Private instruction.
