Yoga is not only a physical practice, but one that sharpens the mind and body and spirit, aligning all elements of the self with the greater good. Asana (postures) prepares us physically for the deeper work yoga stirs within the subconscious, and brings us into our wholeness by awakening our awareness.
I started my own practice of yoga in 2000 while a student at GSU and sought my first teaching certification in 2005 (Beth Shaw's YogaFit). To deepen my knowledge of yoga and to sharpen my skills as a teacher, I studied with Gina Minyard Yoga Collective in Atlanta, finishing my 200-hr RYT in October 2015. Since that time, I have been teaching twice a week at Trualliance Fitness in Duluth, GA.
