Dr. Melody Moore, RYT is a Clinical Psychologist, yoga instructor, and the founder of the Embody Love Movement Foundation, a non-profit whose mission is to empower girls and women to celebrate their inner beauty, commit to kindness, and contribute to meaningful change in the world. Dr. Moore is a social entrepreneur who trains facilitators how to teach programs to prevent negative body image and remind girls and women of their inherent worth. Her work has been featured in the books Yoga and Body Image (eds. Klein and Guest-Jelly) and Yoga and Eating Disorders: Ancient Healing for Modern Illness (eds. Costin and Kelly) as well as in the Yoga Journal, Yoga International, Sweat Equity, and Origin Magazine, to name a few. Dr. Moore serves as a faculty member for Off the Mat, Into the World, a non-profit training leaders to become conscious activists, and at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX, where she supervises Candidates in Clinical Psychology. She is the subject matter expert for TriDelta’s BodyImage3D program, and has trained facilitators to deliver her signature program to 138 chapters across America. Dr. Moore is the National Eating Disorder Association’s Proud2bMe campus project advice column author for 2016. She is a founding member of the Yoga and Body Image Coalition, an advisor at World Muse and serves on faculty for the Catalyst Collective. In her private practice, she has spent 15,000 clinical hours specializing in recovery of Eating Disorders through integrated treatment of psychotherapy, yoga, and holistic nutrition. Dr. Moore has been practicing yoga for 15 years and teaching for five years. She has taught yoga internationally and at the Yoga Journal Conference in Estes Park, the Global Action Summit in Tahoe, and at various conferences and festivals throughout the country.
