Probably your best yoga teacher ever

Michael Hewett is the real deal. Michael has the unique combination of deep knowledge of both mind and body, and is fluent in asana as well as scripture, offering a captivating combination that makes his classes precise, deep, and unrelenting. Every class or workshop with Michael is a journey, individually and as a group. Add Michael's robust and careful selection of music (or if you're lucky, you'll hear him play his guitar in person) and you truly get carried away.

Michael Hewett

I have had the pleasure of studying yoga with Michal for almost 20 years. Within the first half of my very first asana class, I felt the connection and have been hooked ever since!
Michael is a very well informed and shares his knowledge appropriately in each situation accordingly to the need of the student. The level of energy and awareness he brings to each class is tangible.
I am blessed for knowing him and eternally grateful…

M.Hewett: A teacher above the highest expectations

When I attended my first class my Michaël (after two years of regular yoga practice in different disciplines), I left it saying I had met the one teacher I had been looking for.
Each class or workshop with him confirms this and I feel really fortunate to be one of his students. It is now part of my balance.

I've known and practiced with Michael for a decade He was always my favorite teacher when he lived in NYC, despite my exposure to so many others . His class is consistently beautiful, poignant, fun, and deep. Intelligent in all areas: sequencing, verbal cues, and hands on assists. Pholosphically, Michael has a true talent for making the more subtle and rich aspects of the path very accessible, in the way a teacher can only when they walk the talk and earnestly study and practice themselves. Expect a very complete experience filled with sweat, laughter, a great playlist, a sound practice that hits all the bases, and meaningful insights. I can't recommend him enough. Paris is very lucky to have him.

Guru status!

Michael is an awesome, well balanced teacher. He always is a step ahead of my path of awakening, but always on the same theme. He gives much practical and spiritual advice and teachings, which somehow eases his vigorous asana practice. I will listen to anything he has to say and learn anything he has to teach!

Experienced and grounded teachings!

I have been practicing yoga for 7 years and though I have not known Michael very long, he is one of the best instructors I have had. His teachings have a strong focus on alignment (something too few instructors do) and he provides an accessible and open-minded pathway into spiritual teachings.

He emphasizes that a spiritual practice must be a grounded one, and I believe that his class does this successfully because of the attention to doing postures correctly (rather than just calling out pose after pose). His flow is at a comfortable but challenging pace, and is set to music that complements the style nicely. The only thing I wish he would do more is emphasize a specific intention or philosophical/spiritual teaching at the start of class (and an Om), which I think would tie everything together seamlessly. He's very friendly and I have recommended him several times to friends! Please take his class!

One of The best yoga teacher I ever hard

I practice yoga with Michael for roughly 2 months. His unique spiritual though neither "boring" nor esoteric approach really acts as a catalytic converter for strength, confidence, and energy.
Each time I practice with Michael, I can feel how much I progress with a great deal of humility, which is one of his core values.
