Trained as a dancer from the early age of 7, Michael developed an early passion for exploring shapes and kinesthetics of the body and the energies needed to do so. Through his performing career, was introduced to the world of yoga and never looked back.
Completing a 350 hr teacher training course in 2013 from the Yoga Institute under mentorship from Michael de Manincor, he has been teaching yoga from a classical repertoire of yoga tools, such as asana, pranayama and meditation, chant and sound. Under the principle of teaching “the viniyoga of yoga”, yoga applied appropriately to the individual, Michael strives to let students explore a practice that is tailored to their individual needs even in a group led class. Typically his classes are a mixture of flowing and dynamic sequences whilst holding statically and exploring key asana within them, all led by the breath. Whatever your yoga experience, from beginner to advanced, Michael will guide you safely through your practice leaving you feeling balanced energetically in your body, breath and mind.
