I discovered yoga by pure chance! A chance that has enriched my life beyond words.
Recovering from a near fatal car accident and ending my short lived career as a ballerina, yoga gave me new life and a way for my body to heal. Initially I used Iyengar Yoga to restore and realign my injured body. Falling in love with what yoga had to offer I started to explore different styles and studios.
My travels with yoga took me to study under Choudry Bikram in and Baron Baptise in Mexico where I really found my true love of this ancient practice. Wanting to know more and not just the physical I started to ask “Why did this pose help my body?” and “How come I feel this way?”, I embarked on my teacher training.
I gained my 200hr RYT with Prana Space in Sydney with no intention of teaching however in my final month I discovered I was pregnant and went on to study Pre and Post natal Yoga with Daphne Ravey.
Having just had my 2nd child I have practiced regularly through both pregnancies, both myself and my babies have benefitted from all that yoga has to offer. My prenatal practice is all encumbersing for mothers to be. Using active birth and the movement of yoga I love to guide and empower women through this incredible journey.
Postnatal recovery is where I’ve really had to work the hardest. Dealing with postpartum separation and damage to my pelvic floor this has led me to work closely with specialists in this area such as Sue Croft Pelvic floor Physiotherapist and Belinda Siddle paediatric Chiropractor
I focus on helping women of all ages to help restore their pelvic floor and stabilise their pelvis, building confidence in their bodies, enabling them to build a healthier, stronger young and happy body.
