I have been practicing yoga for more than 10 years. When I was a child, I was a gymnast and dancer who loved the freedom and meditation of such movement. As I grew older, I missed the physical and mental centering that my earlier experiences with gymnastics and dance brought me. Originally, that is what drew me to yoga. Today, my practice has expanded and deepened after years of learning from several gifted and knowledgeable teachers. In July 2013, I completed an intensive 200-hour teaching certification program through The Yoga Paradigm in Nosara, Costa Rica. My classes are designed for those new to yoga as well as those wishing to better understand proper alignment and benefits of fundamental yoga postures. Learning how to cultivate a cleansing, nurturing and healing breath is also integral to my teaching. Off the mat, I'm a writer and teacher who tries to be outside as much as possible enjoying everything nature offers.
