I aim to BE authentic, to BE real in all interactions. I intend that my actions and speech reflect my most cherished values. As a facilitator of your inner journey, my goal is to guide you to the place within you that lives in joy, always.

I graduated from Concordia College in 2010 with a in Spanish and minors in French and philosophy, which prepared me for the philosophical yoga training I enrolled in a year later. In 2011 I took a year-long 200 hour yoga teacher training that changed my life.

During this year I was trained in Raja yoga, the royal path, or, the path of meditation. In this discipline of yoga we focus on breath awareness, alignment, and relaxing the mind into the present moment. I teach moving meditations that are as much of a workout for your mind as they are for your body. Relaxation and meditation are key aspects to class as they help to cultivate a well-rounded, Joyous Journey(TM) towards inner transformation that follows you off the mat.

I've been dancing since I was 4 years old, trained in ballet, jazz, tap and modern. I quit taking dance lessons when I was 17, feeling like this dance was no
longer relevant in my life. In 2009 I rediscovered my passion for dance when I was introduced to hooping one beautiful August day at a festival in Wisconsin. When I saw all the different ways you could flow through expressive movement with this reinvented hand-made children's toy I was mesmerized! That day I bought a very large hoop that stood almost to my chin and set my intentions for the highest reaches of Hoopdom, never to look back again!

Along the way on my quest to spread the joys of hooping I've heard every excuse in the book, reasons why people think THEY can't hoop. "I don't have the hips for it". "I have no rhythm". "YOU look great, but I could never do that". Well here I am telling you, "you can," and I'll teach you how! I've trained with
Hoopnotica, taught several courses using the Hoopnotica method, and taken a Kundalini HoopDance Telecourse with Holistic Hooping and I can honestly say that hooping is a transformative, spiritual practice that ANYONE can do.

My personal journey with both these movement arts has been paramount to my self-discovery, creating an outlet for self-expression, cultivating self-love and in turn self- confidence. These are just a few very powerful benefits of having a moving meditation practice like yoga or hooping.
