Michelle Butts, 500-hour Registered Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance, completed her 200-hour Hatha Yoga and Foundations of Yoga Therapy training through a Yoga Yoga program hosted by Loka Studios. She has since earned her 500 hour designation by completing a 300-hour program at MelMarie Yoga Academy. Michelle is currently worked toward her Yoga Therapist certification.
She loves to create themed classes for her students, while infusing her teachings with heart and humor. She discovered yoga over a decade ago, and practiced on and off at various studios. Michelle didn't seriously focus on yoga as a healing art until a string of injuries and surgeries required her to gently and mindfully reconnect with her body and breath. As a result, her focus is on safety, injury prevention, and adapting yoga to meet the student's individual needs.
Michelle also works as a Reiki Master energy healer and as a holistic health coach who specializes in a plant-based approach to wellness. Her goal is to help others heal themselves. When she's not learning something new or teaching yoga, she enjoys spending time with her husband and furbabies.
