Michelle Jacobi, ERYT-500, founded the Centre de Yoga du Marais in 2001 when her growing number of prenatal students and corporate clients-turned yogis requested more lessons and a larger place to practice. Michelle created the space in honor of her yoga sangha in New York. The “Yoga Marais” grew to offering day and evening classes to suit all levels of practice, a program for new Moms and Babies, a program for Yoga for Kids as well as adapted classes for Seniors and those requiring a gentle practice. Consequently yoga workshops from international teachers and yoga summer retreats became popular requests and were added to the curriculum . The Yoga Centre in the historic district of the Marais has attracted a lively and spirited group of teachers, passionate about spreading the benefits of Some of the teachers at the centre have been trained by the Centre de Yoga du Marais’ Teacher Training program, Michelle’s desire to pass on the gifts from her teachers.
The Centre has a state of the art cork-covered sprung wood floor which is warm to the touch and cushions the joints for the specific needs of our asana practice.
You will find Michelle at the Centre most days, eager to welcome you and introduce, or reintroduce you to your yoga mat!
Michelle completed her yoga therapy training in 2014 and is now a practicing yoga therapist. Certifiée par l'institut de yoga thérapie, (idyt) Paris
