I have been practicing yoga since I was 18 when I was a busy teenager, very active and the 10 minutes at the end of a yoga class on a Friday afternoon, where I was allowed and I allowed myself time to relax, was life changing. Connecting to myself and bringing awareness into my body and mind was a way I decided I wanted to live from that moment on. I continued with yoga as my best friend in my 20's, sometimes there, sometimes not, but always there if I needed it with no judgement and a good ear. I trained at the Sivananda ashram in Kerala 6 years ago, having studied with a number of teachers along the way in Ashtanga, Hatha and Iyengar. Trained as a sports massage therapist first helped me to understand the body better and not be afraid of touching my students! I also set up a yoga holiday company called in 2008 and offering retreats to all people of all backgrounds, making it accessible to all so that everyone can feel the benefits of yoga has been my calling.
